City Paper Has Ceased Publishing
Many thanks to our supporters since August of 2005.
Due to past due printing bills and struggling advertising revenue it was decided on Friday to halt the production process of City Paper. Personal IRS tax audits and debts have become too overwhelming for me to continue doing City Paper with no compensation.
Five Points offices were closed on Friday, and advertisers and employees will be notified throughout next week.
Thank you Columbia for the overwhelming support for an independent newspaper in Columbia.
Best regards,
Paul Blake
