Introduced by Sen. Dodd, The Restoring the Constitution Act (S. 576/H.R. 1415) would stop the arbitrary classification of enemy combatants and limit that designation to people in armed conflict with our country. It would restore the Constitution’s habeas corpus protection, restoring due process by allowing a court to decide whether a person is being imprisoned unlawfully, and would require U.S. compliance with the Geneva Conventions.

South Carolina star quarterback recruit, Stephen Garcia, is accused of vandalizing a car parked in front of the university’s Thomas Cooper Library on March 1, according to a library incident report obtained by Columbia City Paper.
