Sept. 21 - 23 - “2nd Annual Fall N2 Art Show,” featuring an artists’ showcase which will feature original fine art from artists from the Columbia Metropolitan area, part of the “Greek Festival”. All art at the event will be available for purchase. Sept. 14 - Jan. 6, 2008 - “Seeing Ourselves: Masterpieces of American Photography from the George Eastman House Collection”
Through Oct. 1 - “RENOIR!” is an installation of two Impressionist paintings loaned to the Columbia Museum of Art from The Art Institute of Chicago.
Through Dec. 31 - “Fragile Forms: Contemporary Glass from the Sonia and Isaac Luski Collection at the Columbia Museum of Art”. A gorgeous group of studio glass pieces representing some of the innovations and avenues of expression of modern glass artists such as Ken Carder, Stephen Dee Edwards and Lino Tagliepietra. Through Jan. 6, 2008 - “South Carolina Educational Television Exhibition” This installation includes art from artists included in the Web sites knowitall.org and artopia.com.
Wachovia Education Gallery, Through Sept. 23 - “Knight Foundation: Visual Expressions”. Children who participated in the Knight Foundation’s After School Program show their art.

McKissick Museum

Through Dec. 8 - “A Call for All: The Great War Summons the Palmetto State”. Apr. 2007 marks the 90th anniversary of the United States’ entry in World War I. This exhibition will explore propaganda employed by the US government to encourage soldiers and their families to support the war effort, how South Carolinians became involved in the war effort and how the war affected the Palmetto State.
Through Jan. 19, 2008 - “A Sense of Wonder: Works by Pam Bowers-Voros.” Through her dream-like imagery, the paintings of Pam Bowers-Voros explore nature by blending mythology and scientific study. Ongoing - “Highlights from the Permanent Collections of McKissick Museum” Permanent - “Baruch Silver Collection,” a collection of the Baruch family silver. “The Laurence L. Smith Mineral Collection,” a collection of hundreds of minerals from throughout the world. Long-term - “University of South Carolina: Pranks and Pundits From the First One Hundred Years,” an exhibition about the founding and evolution of the university. A special component is a pictorial recreation of the historic Horseshoe.

Through Sept. 14 - “Dawn Hunter” An exhibition of re-conceptualized figurative mixed-media drawings and paintings by University of South Carolina Foundations professor Dawn Hunter. Hunter’s works address the psycho/socio norms of contemporary society.
Sept. 25 - Oct. 25 - “Tom Supensky” An exhibit of whimsical, witty ceramic sculptures by Aiken, SC, artist Tom Supensky. A trained potter, Supensky redefines clay by transforming the medium into scenes that combine small animals with trivial man-made objects to form visual puns.
